Senior Assistant Manager, Engagement and ImpactSpecialist
Job Description
The ideal candidate will have excellent publicrelations acumen, management experience, media exposure, writingskills, and experience working with multi-functional teams. Thecandidate must be self-motivated, resourceful, have strongcommunication and organizational skills for handling time-sensitiveoutreach, be able to juggle multiple tasks, be a team player, andbe service-oriented.
EOS is looking forambitious, highly motivated Engagement and Impact Specialist. TheEngagement and Impact Specialist will work with the CommunityEngagement (CE) office of the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS).The incumbent will assist the Assistant Director of the CE officewith managing specific outreach and engagement activities, and withmanaging and reporting about outreach and EOS-wide data andmetrics. This role will contribute to the success of the EOSengagement initiatives to promote a safer and more sustainablefuture and will contribute to reporting and promoting theperformance of theinstitute.
Responsibilities:
- Managespecific engagement and outreach projects, such as, targetedoutreach initiatives and educationalactivities.
- Manage specific databases andreport data accordingly.
- Manage other specificCE databases, such as equipment and corporate giftsdatabases.
- Coordinate with internal andexternal stakeholders, when appropriate.
- Managecorporate designs.
- Manage the production of EOScollaterals and documents, including brochures and slide decks,while maintaining a high-quality design and brandidentity.
- Manage the production of corporategifts: propose ideas, source vendors, manage production andallocatedbudget.
Requirements:
- Degreein business administration, data management, communications,education or related field.
- Candidates with adegree in Environmental studies and strong experience in communityengagement will also be considered.
- A minimumof 5 years of experience with project management and/orimplementing outreach activities.
- Excellentwritten and oral communication skills.
- Basicknowledge of or strong interest in Earth Sciences and Climatechange.
- Proficient with the Adobe Suite,Microsoft Office, and working knowledge of databasesystems.
- Strong project management andorganisational skills.
- Ability to workeffectively with cross-functionalteams.
- Ability to work in a team as well asindependently. Ability to analyse project requirements and provideappropriate proposals to meet projectneeds.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors andoutside consultants, as needed.
- Ability toadapt communication styles depending on the project andstakeholder.
- Ability to manage multiple agendasand projects at the same time and in a gracefulmanner.
- Experience working with variousstakeholders and community groups will be abonus.
