We are seeking an experienced InfrastructureArchitect to design and implement scalable andsecure IT infrastructure solutions for a major migration,modernization, and IT transformation project in our bankingorganization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background inboth on-premises infrastructure and cloud architecture, ensuringthat all solutions align with business goals and regulatorystandards.

JobDuties:

• Lead thearchitectural design of both on-premises and cloud infrastructuresolutions.
• Oversee the migration of legacysystems to modern architectures, incorporating both on-prem andcloud strategies.
• Collaborate withcross-functional teams to gather requirements and designcomprehensive solutions.
• Implement bestpractices for security, compliance, and performanceoptimization.
• Establish and maintaindocumentation for infrastructure designs and procedures.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements toexisting infrastructure.
• Assist in trainingand mentoring junior staff on architectural bestpractices.

Responsibilities:

• Data Center Migration andConsolidation:Lead the planning and execution ofdata center migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and riskmitigation.
  Develop and implement strategies forconsolidating multiple data centers into a streamlined, efficientinfrastructure.
  Assess and select appropriate migrationtools and techniques, ensuring data integrity and compliancethroughout the process.
• Infrastructure and PlatformModernization:Design modern infrastructure solutionsthat leverage both on-premises and cloud resources, optimizing forcost, performance, and scalability.
  Identify legacysystems that require modernization and develop actionable plans fortheir upgrade or replacement.
  Implement the latestplatform technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities,including: Event-Driven Architectures, Distributed CachingSolutions, Container Orchestration
  Collaborate withapplication teams to facilitate the transition to microservicesarchitectures and cloud-native applications.
  Evaluate andrecommend platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions and technologiesto support application modernization.
  Implementinfrastructure monitoring and observability solutions to ensurehigh availability and performance of modern platforms.
• Infrastructure and PlatformGovernance:Establish governance frameworks andpolicies for infrastructure and platform management to ensurecompliance with industry standards and bestpractices.
  Monitor adherence to governance policies andprovide guidance to teams on best practices for infrastructure andplatform use.
  Lead reviews and audits of infrastructureand platform practices to ensure alignment with organizationalgoals and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration andCommunication:Work closely with IT leadership andbusiness stakeholders to ensure infrastructure aligns with businessobjectives and operational needs.
  Communicateinfrastructure designs and transformation strategies effectively toboth technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  Provideleadership and mentorship to team members, promoting best practicesin infrastructure design and implementation.
• Continuous Improvement:Stayinformed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and bestpractices in infrastructure and platformmodernization.
  Foster a culture of continuous improvementwithin the team, encouraging innovative solutions to enhanceoperational efficiency and servicedelivery.

RequiredProfessional and Technical Expertise:

• Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years ofexperience in IT infrastructure design and architecture, with afocus on both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Extensive experience in designing and managingon-premises infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking,and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) andexperience in integrating cloud services with on-premisesinfrastructure.
• Proven experience inmodernizing legacy systems using a hybrid approach thatincorporates both on-prem and cloud-native solutions.
• Deep expertise in implementing infrastructuremodernization strategies and utilizing the latest platformtechnologies, including:Event-Driven Architectures (e.g., ApacheKafka)
  Distributed Caching Solutions (e.g., Redis,Memcached)
  Container Orchestration Platforms (e.g.,Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Comprehensiveunderstanding of banking regulations and compliance standards suchas PCI DSS, GDPR, and PSD2.
• Experienceimplementing monitoring and observability solutions (Prometheus,Grafana, ELK, Splunk) across hybrid environments.
• Expertise in designing secure infrastructure using ZeroTrust architectures, IAM, and advanced encryptionmethods.
• Proven ability in designing andmanaging hybrid cloud networks with SD-WAN, VPNs, and dedicatedconnections.
• Proven experience in designingand implementing disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA)strategies for critical applications.
• Strongcommunication and leadership skills to engage stakeholders anddrive successful project outcomes.
