We're involved in every facet of network delivery fromarchitecture and design to installation, configuration, activation,and commissioning.

As a NetworkImplementation Engineer, you will be the initial point of ourefforts to execute deployment, maintenance, and operations ofprivate data networks worldwide. You will work with TechnicalProgram Managers, Network Engineers, Design and InfrastructureEngineers, Field Engineers within Google, as well as constructionand telecommunications vendors and contractors, all to positionyour team and organization for success.

You willfacilitate faster, better, and more efficient, positive outcomesfor the business and our customers. Your objective will be to buildthe world's most reliable, cost-effective and scalable network tosupport all of our current and future customers and usersglobally.

• Serve as point of contact for Network Capacity Deliveryteam responsible for the execution, implementation of networkbuild, operations and maintenance across data centers,point-of-presence (POP) and colocations.
• Drivecross-functional global programs/projects including new productintroductions to enable the network for Cloud and other Googleproduct areas.
• Support and participate withDesign teams, Deployment teams, Peering Negotiators, and Plannersto deliver connectivity for the Google network.
• Translate common network solutions into standard andscalable BOMs and detailed design packages for selected internal orthird-party parties to execute across multiple sitessimultaneously, while providing technical support.
• Execute and troubleshoot capacity workflows for edgenetwork devices in new and existing network nodes across Google'sglobal network.

Minimumqualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or TelecomEngineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practicalexperience.
• 2 years of experience in DWDM orTCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• Experience working with Network designers, fieldoperation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a Datacenter and telecommunicationsenvironment.

Preferredqualifications

• 2years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale workingwith optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
• 2 years ofexperience in telecommunications, OSP, ISP, AC/DC power systems,and relay rack/cabinet/cage construction.
• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOMs), DeploymentPackage (DPK) device management and complete workflows, identifyingnetwork issues, and assisting in determining appropriatesolutions.
• Experience in collaboration acrossmultiple-levels and functions.
• Ability toengage/influence tactically and strategicallydecision-making.
