Assistant Manager, Graduate Studies - Programme Managementand Operations (MSc in Management -MiM)

Job Description

The incumbent will be required to oversee and manage theoperational aspects of the MSc in Management (MiM) programme byensuring the effective implementation of academic, administrative,and operational processes, in accordance with the University'spolicies and guidelines.

Keyaccountabilities and responsibilities include (but not limitedto):

To strive towards the provisionof positive, enriching, and memorable academic and socialexperiences for the students through carrying out the operational,administrative aspects of the programmes with integrity,professionalism, and a collaborativemindset.
  • Work with Cluster Lead andAcademic Director of the MiM Programme on periodic curriculumreview and timetabling for each trimester of theprogramme.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling,and execution of orientation activities for the programmes,including procurement of orientation items, refreshments,preparation classes and materials, workshops, and teambuildingevents. To work with other GS programmes to ensure costeffectiveness.
  • Ensure budget is well-managedwith prudent spending.
  • Prepare relatedapprovals and administration task forinstructors.
  • Provide timely dissemination ofcourse information, materials, and programme announcements tostudents and also booking of venues
  • Providefaculty support in terms of preparation of course materials, classattendance lists, logistics for lessons, and other generaladministrative support.
  • Provide academicadvising to students in planning their courses and prerequisiterequirements for graduation.
  • Perform 100%accurate, error-free course registration for students and to submitthe data to internal departments.
  • Monitorclosely each student's academic progression such as to ensure thatstudents may complete all graduation requirements within thecandidature period.
  • Plan, organize and overseesthe various social and/or professional events organized for thestudents.
  • Comply with University's assessmentand examination policies and ensure accuracy in student grades andrecords
  • Solicit feedback with regard to courseand studentexperience


Requirements
  • Bachelor'sdegree with 3-5 years of programme management experience in an IHLpreferred.
  • Organized and meticulous with strongadministrative skills.
  • Good understanding ofbudget management.
  • Driven and able to work wellin a fast-paced environment under pressure and tightdeadlines.
  • Able to gather data, compileinformation, and prepare reports.
  • Serviceoriented
  • Excellent command of written andspoken English for communication with international studentcohort.
  • Able to prepare routine administrativepaperwork.
  • Good team player who isself-motivated, resourceful, and flexible in adjusting andresponding to changing priorities; and able to workindependently.
  • Proficient in MS Officeapplications.
  • Growthmindset.
  • Able to work in a fast-pacedenvironment.
  • Patient, andempathetic
  • Occasional evenings and weekends asrequired (Classes are conducted duringweekends)
