Job Description

As the Retail & Activations Assistant Manager in the Brand Experience (BX) team, you will support in planning, organizing, and overlooking the operations of our retail and seasonal activations. The Brand Experience team functions with an entrepreneurial and collegial spirit; this means members of the team are prepared to go the extra mile to provide the best Secretlab experience for our customers in any projects we undertake — everyone in Secretlab is.


Our Retail & Activations Assistant Manager plays a key role in leading a team of Retail Associates on-ground. As a coach, you will mentor, train, and band together as a team to deliver an exceptional Secretlab experience while striking a balance in achieving sales targets. A large part of your role will be focused on managing the showroom and its operations at the Secretlab Global HQ and R&D Centre, as well as seasonal activations in Singapore.


Responsibilities

Be responsible for co-planning/ planning, executing, and management of retail & offline activations

  • Define visual merchandising plans and brand standards with the BX team, taking charge of the execution and maintenance of changes (e.g. new launches or POSMs).
  • Manage retail operations (e.g. daily settlement/ opening & closing) and actively oversee people-related matters such as recruitment, training, performance management, rostering, and development.
  • Manage showroom bookings while constantly exploring creative avenues to improve footfall and conversions to drive store performance.
  • Monitor and report on both routine (daily/ weekly/ monthly) and seasonal performance of showroom or activations, turning accurate insights into actionable recommendations with the BX or other relevant teams.
  • As the subject matter expert for anything Retail/ Activations, you should actively contribute to BX meetings, identifying potential opportunities/ risks & blockers, while contributing capitalizing/ mitigating tactics
  • Continuously propose and implement ways to optimize the team's processes for the purpose of improving efficiency, maximizing sales potential, and/or elevating service experiences. These changes should be well articulated, documented, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Continuously develop training materials and keeping new and existing staff members abreast of latest developments on products, objections, sales angles, etc.
  • When building and leading a team, you will train, strengthen and inspire a passionate, engaging and world-class service-oriented team that educates, drives sales and cultivates evangelism in the Secretlab community.
  • Build and promote a positive work culture.

Requirements

  • At least 3 to 5 years of retail and showroom experience, including 3 years of
    store leadership experience.
  • Exposure to retail elements such as running day-to-day store operations,
    managing work schedules, stock management, and P&L.
  • Sales leadership experience
    ○ Proficiency to translate and simplify technical specifications of
    products to suit and engage the customer
    ○ Well-versed with sales tactics and able to cross-sell relevant
    products and accessories
    ○ Ability to train other team members in these areas
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with good fluency in
    English
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage various stakeholder relationships,
    including agencies and vendors
  • Positive attitude and a team player - motivated, proactive and having a
    strong sense of ownership in achieving targets and delivering projects
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment - ability to work
    independently & collaboratively, with good time management and
    prioritization skills
  • Flexibility in work schedule depending on business needs and activationsable to work on certain weekends and holidays
