Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Membership Sales and Enquiries: Engage with potential members, provide information about membership options, and assist them in signing up.
  2. Processing Pro-Shop Sales: Manage sales of gym merchandise and other related items. Ensure accurate transactions, answer customer questions, and maintain an organized inventory.
  3. Building Customer Rapport: Establish and maintain strong relationships with gym members. Address their concerns, offer assistance, and create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages member retention.
  4. Day-to-Day Gym Operations and Administration: Oversee the smooth operation of the gym. Manage schedules, coordinate classes, and ensure equipment is functioning properly. Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and updating member profiles.
  5. Daily Upkeep of the Gym: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gym environment. Regularly inspect equipment for safety and functionality, ensuring a comfortable and safe workout space for members.
  6. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization routines to uphold high hygiene standards. Disinfect equipment, surfaces, and common areas to promote the health and well-being of members.
  7. Opening and Closing Duties: Responsible for opening the gym in the morning and ensuring everything is set up for the day's operations. Also, handle closing procedures to secure the facility and prepare it for the next day.

Job Requirements:

  1. Weekend Availability: Must be willing and available to work on weekends, as these are typically high-traffic days for the gym.
  2. No Experience Required: Prior experience is not necessary for this role. Training will be provided to ensure a solid understanding of job responsibilities.
  3. Polite and Friendly: Possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with members and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  4. Fast Learner: Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp new information, including gym policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
  5. Accuracy and Commitment: Carry out tasks with precision and dedication, ensuring that memberships, transactions, and administrative work are handled correctly.
  6. Positive Mindset: Maintain a positive attitude that uplifts both colleagues and members, contributing to a pleasant gym environment.
  7. Self-Motivated and Independent: Take initiative and work autonomously with minimal supervision. Proactively address tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  8. English Speaking: Possess basic verbal communication skills in English to interact with English-speaking customers.
