Job Description: Waitress (Zi Char Stall @ Hougang)

Position Overview:The waitress plays a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience for guests at the establishment. This role requires a combination of excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team. The waitress is responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
   Assist customers with menu selections, offering recommendations and answering questions about dishes and beverages.
   Take accurate and complete food and beverage orders from customers.
   Address customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
   
2. Order Management:Relay orders accurately to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of meals to customers.
   Ensure orders are prepared according to customer specifications and dietary restrictions.
   Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely and synchronized service during busy periods.
   
3. Table Service:Serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and presentable manner.
   Provide timely refills for beverages and clear empty plates and glasses from tables.
   Monitor customer satisfaction and respond promptly to any additional needs or requests.
   
4. Billing and Payment:Present bills to customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring clarity on the charges.
   Process payments, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payment methods.
   Handle any discrepancies or issues related to billing with professionalism.
   
5. Cleanliness and Setup:Set up tables with utensils, napkins, and other necessary items before service.
   Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining areas.
   Assist in cleaning tasks including clearing tables, wiping surfaces, and sweeping floors.
   
6. Team Collaboration:Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, other waitstaff, and management to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
   Communicate customer feedback, special requests, and any issues to the relevant team members.
   
7. Menu and Product Knowledge:Stay informed about the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials.
   Continuously update knowledge of food and beverage offerings to assist customers accurately.
   

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role or customer service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of customers.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities, especially during busy periods.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling bills and payments accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Work 6 days week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic Mandarin and English communication required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
• Capability to carry trays of food and beverages and handle items with care.
• Stamina to work in a physically demanding role.
