Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient techniques for fast, optimized data access and transfer of distributed or networked database systems
• Design databases to support business applications, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability.
• Set up database clusters, backup, or recovery processes.
• Analyse Database tables access traffic and optimize the design.
• Do database performance tuning, reindexing and house keeping.
• Design database for High Availability and Disaster Recovery sites.
• Ensure database integrity with proper and accurate data base synchronization.
• Responsible for data security and personal data protection.
• Document and communicate database schemas, using accepted notations.
• Compute database sizing for storage.
• Create and enforce database development standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

Degrees in the following subjects can be included:

• Computer science
• Computer software/computer systems engineering
• Computer systems and networks
• Data Analytic and Data Science
