Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Register, verify and update amendments of new business applications
  • Process and monitor case status in systems
  • Manage, guide & oversee a team of administrative staff
  • Plan staff duties, counter servicing schedule as well as backup cover
  • Attend to service counter enquiry
  • Handle email enquiry
  • Handle and resolve feedback/ issue on cases raised by the financial representatives
  • Prepare and follow up on medical report, clarification on medical examination result and process medical billing
  • Handle payment processing (force-billing, credit card IPP/ APP, dishonoured cheque, maturity rollover)
  • Provide critical liaison and build strong business relationship between NBU and distribution channels
  • Ensure all department KPIs are achieved
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
  • Continuous Customer Engagement - to keep the financial representatives updated on a continuous basis throughout the assessment of new business applications - through phone calls, emails and meetings (if required). This would include sharing details of the queries raised, possible options to expedite case closures and for postponed or declined cases. To ensure that we proactively engage with the Distribution partners and provide best in class customer service.
  • Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlight any potential concerns/ risks and proactively share best risk management practices

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree with at least 5 years of insurance related experience
  • Team player and ability to work under pressure
  • Good interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
  • High level of integrity, take accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
  • Take initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
