Roles & Responsibilities

The Product Specialist role supports the Product Lead in the development and management of new business features and product enhancements for the Postpaid Consumer business. The role is responsible for identifying the business needs and work with cross-functional teams to create and deliver products with a customer centric approach.

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify the business value, scope of work and urgency of the list of features and prioritise them for development.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across customer service, legal, finance and technology partners to determine features to be developed.
• Manage the end-to-end process needed to develop new product features/enhancements including but not limited to: Discovery (writing of Acceptance Criteria), solutioning, user acceptance testing (writing test scenarios and test cases and executing the test cases) and launch.
• Keeps track of project schedule and be able to report to key stakeholders on changes and impact to project deliverables.
• Take ownership of “product/feature” post-delivery; support and facilitate user training, escalation and resolution of production incidents, plan for future enhancement
• Support the marketing team in terms of any product-related activities

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or IT related discipline with minimum 3-5 years experience in Product management
• Experience in the telecommunications sector a plus
• Foundation in agile development ways of working a plus
• UX understanding a plus
• Strategic thinking, strong planning, analytical, design thinking and problem solving skills
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and inspire stakeholders to drive collaboration
• Hands-on and proactive with strong project management skills and high degree of personal accountability
• Ability to adapt with changing circumstances and embrace change with a positive attitude
• Detail oriented and organized; good time management
• Able to work independently, a good team player and resourceful
• Has empathy, curiosity and the drive to learn more
• Able to multitask and perform well under pressure
• Self-starter with the zest to contribute
