ICM's principal focus is credit risk: it has been established with the objective of providing integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, and the management of associated risks for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

Within ICM, the Collateral Risk Management group focuses on the monitoring and management of risks relating to collateral posted and received in connection with Citi's trading and banking book activities. The Collateral Risk Management group consists of the global team and a regional team in APAC of which this role forms a key part.

The Mission:

The role will require you to be detail-oriented, analytical, and a strong communicator in order to be effective.

The Collateral Risk Analyst will take the lead on specific collateral analytics projects and provide specialist support on other projects, under the direction of the APAC Head of Collateral Risk Management.

The Collateral Risk Analyst will work closely with the regional stakeholders to define and lead analytics initiatives in the region, in partnership with the Collateral Head of Analytics in the global team.

Key benefits include the development of an unusually broad perspective on the Bank's activities (across both banking book and trading book), the acquisition of specialized knowledge of regulatory developments and the Bank's financing practices, exposure to senior leadership and a rewarding, creative, and dynamic working environment.

The Role:

  • Risk management: Work closely with the underwriting (1LOD) and credit risk (2LOD) teams to identify potential risk associated with the collateral provided by our clients (e.g., wrong way risk, liquidity, etc.). This may involve conducting risk assessments and developing strategies to mitigate any potential risks.
  • Documentation: Responsible for ensuring that all collateral related documents are accurate and up-to-date. This may include loan agreements, security agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Reporting: Responsible for preparing regular reports on the status of collateral and loan security. This may involve providing regular updates to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the regional team in ICM, including underwriters, transaction management, as well as credit risk officers, to ensure that collateral requirements are being met and that facilities are being secured effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all collateral-related activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
