Design Researcher / Senior Design Researcher

Responsibilities:

· Define and plan qualitative user research to effectively inform the design and development of products & services.

· Lead recruitment efforts to recruit and manage both internal and external participants.

· Conduct qualitative user research independently (e.g., in-depth interviews, contextual inquiries, ethnographic observations, focus groups, diary studies, usability testing, remote testing, etc.).

· Familiarity with mapping and applying design frameworks (e.g., customer journey mapping, personas, assumptions mapping, etc).

· Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to translate research insights into design (e.g., collaborative sketching, prototyping, user stories).

· Communicate research insights effectively depending on project needs (e.g., reports, stakeholder workshops, videos, etc.).

· Nice to have: Understanding of quantitative user research such as analytics, A/B testing, data mining, etc.

Required Role’s competencies, skills & knowledge:

· Relevant degree/diploma (e.g., sociology, anthropology, cognitive psychology, Human Factors, Human-Centred Design) or industry experience.

· End-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research process.

· Knowledge of UX design processes and methodologies.

· Ability to facilitate discussions and workshops with different stakeholders.

· Experience working in an agile development environment.

· Portfolio with examples of leading strategic user research with significant business outcomes.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience conducting effective UX/user/design/experience research.
