Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Cloud Architect with a deep understanding of AWS solutions and designs. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of AWS GCC (Government Cloud Compute) and SHIPHATS, as well as expertise in cloud administration, application software configuration, and infrastructure management using Terraform.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrated experience in AWS GCC (Government Cloud Compute) and SHIPHATS, with a strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
• Maintain and administer systems in the cloud environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Administer, patch, install, and configure various application software such as Tomcat, Nginx, Squid Proxy, SFTP, Tibco Web Focus, and Rufus.
• Container Orchestration:
• Experience with AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) or Kubernetes administration, including cluster management and deployment of containerized applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Manage and administer cloud resources using infrastructure as code (Terraform), automating the provisioning and scaling of infrastructure components.
• Operating System Management:
• Responsible for patching and maintaining Windows and Linux operating systems within the AWS environment.
• Proficiency in POSIX/Linux scripting for automation and maintenance tasks.
• Identity and Access Management:
• Manage servers and users using Active Directory, ensuring proper access control and security.
• Database Management:
• Knowledge of RDS (Relational Database Service) and experience in managing PostgreSQL databases within the cloud.
• Security and Vulnerability Assessment:
• Analyze and address vulnerability assessments for both the operating system and application software.
• Implement best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and logging.

Requirements:

• AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate Certification is mandatory.
• Prior experience in AWS GCC and SHIPHATS is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in Terraform scripting for infrastructure automation.
• Strong expertise in administering and configuring application software, including Tomcat, Nginx, Squid Proxy, SFTP, Tibco Web Focus, and Rufus.
• Knowledge of AWS EKS or Kubernetes administration and weblogic administration.
• Cloud security and monitoring proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

This role is on an initial contract basis of 12 months.
