JobSummary

As a successful Analystwithin the International Corporates team, you will provideproactive, comprehensive and timely credit analysis to RelationshipManagers and the Credit community. Your daily job wouldinclude:
  • Provide RelationshipManagers with client insights in relation to an industry sector,client information and account plans
  • Manageongoing quality of portfolio, producing exception reports, reviewcredit extending across entire portfolio to ensure consistency ofapproach
  • Educate Relationship Managers onmacroeconomic fundamentals impacting their creditportfolio
  • Provide creative recommendations toRelationship Managers by monitoring peer groups & competitorsand undertaking industry reviews based on non-standard industry /company information / data (equity, credit reports, press andmagazine reports)
  • Develop good relationshipwith clients to understand their banking requirements, structuredeals, and get insights into their business andfinancials
  • Work closely with client to ensureproduct / deal structure appropriateness
  • Beengaged in deal origination and execution efforts includingproviding assistance to Relationship Managers for thesame
  • Monitor portfolio revenues and returnsand ensuring the accuracy of MIS
  • Liaise andmanage various product partners, across Parent and clientsubsidiary locations on account management andorigination
  • Evaluate learning around exceptioncases and seek to share this with other Analysts to help properlycapture risk profiles and ensure robust credit analysis
  • Assist, train and mentor Junior Credit Analysts, Internsand International Graduates
  • Assist Head CA /Relationship Managers / other team members on ad-hoc projects /deals etc. as and whenrequired.

KeyResponsibilities

Strategy
  • Assisting the relationship managers to run the accountstrategies of International Corporates Singapore portfolio ofclientseffectively.

Business
  • Assisting the International Corporates Singaporerelationship managers in driving client revenues & meetingrevenue return targets for the Business by ensuring effectivecollaboration across the various internal & externalstakeholders on a Business-As-Usualbasis.

Processes
  • Plays a key role in managing the end-to-end creditapplication process for International Corporates Singapore forexisting clients as well as new-to-bankclients.

People &Talent
  • To contributeto the upskilling agenda of the wider CCIBCC Singapore creditanalyst team by training and providing mentorship to the juniorcredit analysts across CCIBCC Singapore, interns and InternationalGraduates.

RiskManagement
  • Responsiblefor identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigatingpotential credit / business risks to the International CorporatesSingapore franchise while driving revenues in collaboration withthe relationship managers and various productpartners.

Governance
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory &credit process / policies framework, in which the Group operates,and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to therole.

  • Take personalresponsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics,including regulatory and business conduct, across StandardChartered Bank.   • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate,mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliancematters

Our IdealCandidate
  • Degree inaccounting or finance & banking
  • Proficiency in communication and presentation
  • 5+yrs of experience in accounting
  • Understand commercial and credit technical nuances arounda group relationship. Demonstration of in depth understanding ispreferred given, client groups we handle are well banked and deeplypenetrated
  • Leadership qualities given thisrole will be in charge of a small cluster of 1-2 pax intime.
