As a Site ReliabilityEngineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and InvestmentBanking (CIB) Technology - Payments Technology team, you will solvecomplex and broad business problems with simple and straightforwardsolutions. Through code and cloud infrastructure, you willconfigure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and theirassociated infrastructure to independently decompose anditeratively improve on existing solutions. You are a significantcontributor to your team by sharing your knowledge of end-to-endoperations, availability, reliability, and scalability of yourapplication or platform.

Jobresponsibilities

• Guides andassists others in the areas of building appropriate level designsand gaining consensus from peers whereappropriate

• Collaborates with other softwareengineers and teams to design and implement deployment approachesusing automated continuous integration and continuous deliverypipelines

• Collaborates with other softwareengineers and teams to design, develop, test, and implementavailability, reliability, scalability, and solutions in theirapplications

• Implements infrastructure,configuration, and network as code for the applications andplatforms in your remit

• Collaborates withtechnical experts, key stakeholders, and team members to resolvecomplex problems

• Understands service levelindicators and utilizes service level objectives to proactivelyresolve issues before they impact customers

•Supports the adoption of site reliability engineering bestpractices within yourteam

Required qualifications,capabilities, and skills

•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Formal training or certification on softwareengineering concepts and at least 3+ years appliedexperience

• Proficient in site reliabilityculture and principles and familiarity with how to implement sitereliability within an application or platform

•Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python,Java/Spring Boot, and .Net

• Proficientknowledge of software applications and technical processes within agiven technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, artificial intelligence,Android, etc.)

• Experience in observabilitysuch as white and black box monitoring, service level objectivealerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana,Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, andothers

• Familiarity with troubleshooting commonnetworking technologies and issues

• Ability tocontribute to large and collaborative teams by presentinginformation in a logical and timely manner with compelling languageand limited supervision

• Ability to proactivelyrecognize road blocks and demonstrates interest in learningtechnology that facilitates innovation

• Abilityto identify new technologies and relevant solutions to ensuredesign constraints are met by the softwareteam

• Ability to initiate and implement ideasto solve businessproblems

Preferred qualifications,capabilities, and skills

•Working understanding of public cloud, AWS Certification is aplus.

• Experience working in SR mode modelbased teams and IT best practices - ITIL framework, Agile andSDLC.

• Experience with continuous integrationand continuous delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab, orTerraform

• Familiarity with container andcontainer orchestration such as ECS, Kubernetes, andDocker
