Position Overview

Autodesk Identity team is seeking a passionate Test Lead Engineer to join a team of professionals who are responsible for building the Next generation of Identity SDK. In this role, you will be working as part of a closely-knit product engineering team that develops/tests key components that help products integrate with Autodesk’s Identity and Authorization solution. You will be involved in building the automation framework and CI/CD pipeline for core component that will be used by 40+ Autodesk products across Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. You will work with multiple groups of talented engineers across the globe to help them integrate the component across Autodesk Desktop Product offering

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies and test scope
• Own the quality of the component
• Mentor and lead junior test engineers
• Work with the team to automate testing of New Generation SDK workflows
• You will be responsible for enhancing delivery pipeline and test framework
• Write code/scripts to test both UI and non-UI functionality
• Contribute to monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality
• Create test harnesses and infrastructure supporting Windows, Mac & Linux
• Successfully perform manual and automation testing, end to end testing
• Analyze and decompose a complicated software system and design a strategy to test it
• Clearly document, manage, and prioritize defects from multiple sources. Collaborate with development, QA analysts and Test Engineers to perform root cause analysis
• Contribute to customer integration effort supporting and guiding them as they integrate our new solution.
• Evaluate (commercial, open-source or proprietary) testing tools and test frameworks which can be leveraged within a project
• Enforce Engineering Excellence practices and drive quality early in the development cycle; enforcing code standards, unit testing, test driven development and other strategies to improve and ensure code quality

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience testing desktop applications
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases
• Experience with manual and automated functional, regression and usability testing
• Hands-on experience writing automation in Python and at least one object oriented programming language
• Experience testing multiple platforms - Windows, Mac & Linux
• Experience owning and leading the quality of component or product
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Good in oral and written communication
• Degree in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualification

• REST API knowledge
• Experience in UI testing
• Experience in C++, Gtest, Shell scripting
• Experience in Selenium, Puppeteer
• Experience with distributed version control system (preferably git), integrating automated tests execution into CI/CD pipeline
• Experience working in an Agile team
