Benefits Summary:

• Basic up to $6000
• Monday - Friday 9am – 6pm
• Location: Kallang

Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical systems for robotics applications, including driving systems, actuator systems, sensor systems, etc.
• Promote and use new and creative approaches to machine design and develop variations, as may be required by customers.
• Prototype and validate/test the design.
• Create and manage engineering drawings, DFM, and other documentations.
• Select materials and components required to achieve the robot functions.
• Manage vendors and ensure delivery dates within project deadlines.
• Select suitable manufacturing methods for short-term prototyping and full-rate production.
• Take the lead in establishing and identifying product cost/quality improvements by performing testing, analysis, and simulation to do design optimization. Establish objectives to implement improvements.
• Lead technical discussions with the team to understand design issues and work out satisfactory solutions and meet the design requirements goal within the team’s internal timeline and budget.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design of products.
• Proficient in CAD software, especially SOLIDWORKS.
• Experience in simulation tools like ANSYS will be advantageous.
• Solid understanding of the following fields: properties of materials, solid mechanics, theory of mechanism and fluid mechanics.
• Experienced with DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), Tolerance stack analysis and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Self-motivated and a good team player.
• Experience in Automation or Robotics industry will be advantageous
