About the Role

Someone who is an expert in developing and implementing tax strategies, tax accounting and tax filing / reporting to optimise the tax paid by the company. The person also needs to ensure compliance with AIA group tax policy, statutory and regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing:

This position will assist the Associate Tax Director to manage the tax affairs of AIA Singapore, LCV, AIAFA, AIA Brunei and AIA Agent Provident Fund including but not limited to:-

• Corporate Income Tax (Singapore and Brunei)
  
• Transfer pricing
  
• Tax accounting including deferred tax
  
• Proactively manage the tax risks of the Singapore Segment
  
• Ensure all tax compliance requirements are accurately and promptly met
  
• Prepare and maintain tax records, returns, reports, and other tax related materials
  
• Recommend alternative tax treatments to alleviate tax burden and devise legal means to minimise tax liability using thorough knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  
• Conduct research and analysis of existing and upcoming tax legislation to support AIA's tax planning and tax strategy
  

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH | YOU WILL HAVE:

• A Degree in Accounting and/or professional qualification
  
• At least 12 years experience on Corporate Income Tax experience with at least 6 years in a supervisory capacity.
  
• Experience with taxation of insurance companies is a plus.
  
• Certifications/licenses - CPA and/or SIATP
  
• Special skills - Knowledge of Singapore tax rules and regulations
