Our client is a fast-growing Autonomous Vehicle company with offices in UK, United States, Singapore (our Asian headquarters), and China. They are currently seeking a VP Engineering who will report directly to the CEO.

Our ideal candidate for the role of Vice President, Engineering is an experienced, visionary technologist with a strong and focused leadership style. They should be tech-savvy, people-oriented, and possess a proven track record of building successful software businesses and assembling top-tier talent to foster the growth of an engineering organization, ultimately bringing disruptive technology to life. The VP Engineering should have an unwavering commitment to excellence, coupled with a customer-centric approach and a deep understanding of what is achievable. They should encourage calculated risk-taking and possess the ability to build and support high-performing teams.

The Vice President, Engineering will be responsible for establishing a tech ecosystem that will propel our client to become the dominant force in the AV logistics industry within their region. This visionary leader will be tasked with recruiting exceptional talent, fostering their development, and guiding our client towards success with their existing prominent customers. From 2024 onwards, the VP Engineering will play a pivotal role in expanding our client's business into ports and logistics markets, with the aim of reaching a milestone of $50 million within five years.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in engineering management within a new economy, software system business.
• Proven leadership in the development, launch, and maintenance of at least one new product.
• Exceptional leadership experience managing a department of 60+ engineers, with a track record of implementing scalable organizational systems.
• Personal integrity.
• Demonstrated commitment to recruiting and nurturing top-tier talent.
• Passion for excellence in all aspects (360 degrees).
• Deep technical expertise encompassing all engineering and technology aspects of a software-and-hardware product/service and a SaaS business.
• Familiarity with and management experience in a high-tech, research and development-intensive organization.
• A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
