Job Summary
To support remittance unit including but not limited to:
- All end-to-end process for inward and outward remittances;
- Perform the role of both Maker and Checker for remittances.
- Participating in change initiatives and business new products implementation and testing; and
- Investigating issues and proposing resolutions.
Job Responsibilities
- To support on the start- to- end for all inward and outward remittances process flow.
- Perform the role of both Maker and Checker for Remittances.
- Pre-processing and verification of customers’ outward remittance applications including Cashier’s Order.
- Process SWIFT/ MEPS/GIRO/FAST payments.
- Perform data entry of outward remittances including MT191 charges.
- Process and check inward remittances and G3 payments.
- Perform daily reconciliation of all remittances instructions and control checks.
- Ensure that all transactions are processed within timelines stipulated on the SLA.
- Ensure the remittances advices are being mailed out timely and comply with the controls in place
- To assist in periodic reporting for management, treasury, finance, HO and regulator
- To escalate potential operational issues, provide recommendations and suggestions for processes and workflows for SOP to deliver daily tasks efficiently and to mitigate risk effectively
- To participate in ad-hoc projects and support Business initiatives; and User Acceptance Testing when required. To prepare test scripts based on the agreed finalized requirements in Scope of Work and User’s Requirements
- To ensure all transactions are processed accurately and timely in compliance with the Bank’s policies, controls and regulations
- To handle customer inquiries/feedback, call-back, problem solving and resolutions and to liaise with customer/business units on update/follow up issues
- To assist in provide training and OJT to new/junior staff and trainees when assigned
- To reconcile agent Nostro accounts for the charges
- To perform RCSA as per schedule.
- To act as a back-up cover for the role of Manager, Operations (Branch Services)
- Any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in a Financial Institution.
- Possess excellent working knowledge of SWIFT/MEPS/GIRO/FAST payment message types.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Positive mindset coupled with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Able to multi-task and drive desired outcomes with tight timelines.
- Meticulous with an eye for details.
- Independent and self-motivated team player.
