About the Team

The BusinessRisk Integrated Control (BRIC) team is missioned to:

- Protect TikTok users from abusive behaviorsand activities, including fake accounts, social spam, growth fraud,etc.;

- Secure platform health and communityexperience authenticity, for content consumers, creators,advertisers and beyond;

- Buildinfrastructures, platforms, and technologies, and collaborate withmany cross-functional teams and stakeholders to improve thehealthiness and transparency of the TikTok platform.

The BRIC team works to minimize the damage ofinauthentic behaviors on TikTok platforms (e.g. TikTok, CapCut,Lark), covering multiple classical and novel community and businessrisk areas such as account integrity, engagement authenticity, antispam, API abuse, growth fraud, live streaming security andfinancial safety (ads or e-commerce), etc. In this team you'll havea unique opportunity to have first-hand exposure to the strategy ofthe company in key security initiatives, especially in buildingscalable and robust, intelligent and privacy-safe, secure andproduct-friendly systems and solutions. Our challenges are not someregular day-to-day technical puzzles -- You'll be part of a teamthat's developing novel solutions to first-seen challenges of anon-stop evolvement of a phenomenal product eco-system. The workneeds to be fast, transferrable, while still down to the ground tomake quick and solid differences.

Responsibilities:

-Establish and enhance risk defense strategy, operationalexcellence, plus technical roadmap of a risk domain of TikTokproducts/platforms (e.g., fake accounts detection, social spam,financial fraud, etc.).

- Own end-to-end riskdefense business results of the given risk area, drive planning andexecution, win trust from internal stakeholders and external users.

- Within the given managerial scope, uplevelengineering excellence and culture, support career growth ofengineers and data scientists, deepen XFN collaboration, empowerthe team for long termsuccess.

Qualifications:

MinimumQualifications

- Master or above degree incomputer science, statistics, or other relevant,machine-learning-heavy majors.

- Solidengineering skills. Proficiency in at least two of: Linux, Hadoop,Hive, Spark, Storm.

- Familiarity with datamining, data science, machine learning or finance/social platformrisk defense. Bonus given if possessing at least one advantageamong risk control, data science, machine learning, risk engine,realtime computing.

- Strong ownership;proactive, skillful, candid and clear communication; ability tohandle high complexity, urgency, cross-functional alignment; stayempathetic and calm;

Preferred Qualifications

- 4 years of technical leadership experience inrelevant industry jobs.

- 2 years of softwareengineering or data science managerial experience in relevantindustry jobs.
