We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physiotherapist,Therapy Assistant or Fitness Instructor to join our team, workingwith older adults in the community. The ideal candidate willconduct physical assessments, provide both individual andgroup-based interventions, and educate participants on fallsprevention, frailty, and healthy aging. Additionally, the roleinvolves active participation in functional assessment, datacollection, multidisciplinary teamwork anddiscussions.

JobDescription:

• Conduct targetedand individualized physical assessments for participants uponrecruitment and during periodic reviews (training will beprovided).

• Develop and implement exerciseprograms for participants, including OTAGO and Motor-CognitiveDual-Task training.

• Train and supervisevolunteers and staff at Senior Activity Centres to conduct exerciseprograms and periodic reviews.

• Provideeducation talks on falls prevention, frailty, and healthyaging.

• Ensure proper documentation of recordsfor referral to community partners.

• Work aspart of the "Implementation of Decade of Healthy Aging Action Planto Screen and Prevent Decline in Intrinsic Capacity in Elders(SPICE) Through Multisectoral Collaboration" Team or communitypartners to deliver the above services.

•Participate in functional assessment, data collection,multidisciplinary teamwork and discussions with team andpartners

• Foster close and warm relationshipswith participants, their families, and volunteers, demonstratingcare andrespect.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy or relevant trainingand work experience as fitness instructor.

•Qualified and full registration with the Allied Health ProfessionsCouncil (AHPC) preferable

• Previous workingexperience in a hospital or eldercare institution isadvantageous.

• Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.

• Ability to speakmultiple languages will be advantageous

• A keeninterest in advancing your career in geriatrics and preventivehealth.
