Roles & Responsibilities

JD:

1. Perform Storage health checks
   1. Storage report generation and documentation
   2. Monitor and maintenance of Storage & backup jobs
   3. Monitor and maintenance of Control data sets
   4. Monitoring & maintenance of SMS, non-SMS, pools
   5. DASD management using DFSMShsm, CA-allocate, CA-Disk,etc.
   6. DASD Administration (Data backup, restore/recovery,Archive/recall)
   7. Restoration of User and system data from archives
   8. DASD reclaim from unused datasets in the system
   9. DASD Initialization
   10. DASD reclaim stragegy and procedures development
   11. Catalog & ACS routine management
   12. Capacity planning and Performance management
   13. DASD replication setup and monitoring
   14. DASD reorganization, device connections and decommission
   15. Monitor and change backup strategies as needed
   16. Monitor and change Archive strategies as needed
   17. DR planning and implementation
   18. Define and create Data sharing environments
   19. Tape management
   20. Establish Storage connectivity between Enterprise storage stack
   21. Plan & perform Storage migrations
   22. Plan and perform Storage upgrades
   23. Research and recommend solutions to improve business performance and/or reduce cost.
   24. Configure, test, debug and document device and software configurations, as appropriate.
   25. Maintain compliance to all IT policies and procedures.
   26. Maintain 24x7 availability to address critical business and/or IT issues

Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of experience supporting IBM Mainframe Storage (DASD & Tape).
• Experience in IBM Mainframe Storage Management, Communications, and Storage Based Replication
• Good knowledge of IBM z/OS operating systems and systems administration concepts
• Experience with IBM z/OS, DFSMS, IBM DS8000 DASD, IBM TS77xx and VTS is required

· Candidate should be willing to work in Australian Business hours.

Desired skills:

· 5+ years of experience supporting IBM Mainframe Storage (DASD & Tape).

· Experience in IBM Mainframe Storage Management, Communications, and Storage Based Replication

· Good knowledge of IBM z/OS operating systems and systems administration concepts

· Experience with IBM z/OS, DFSMS, IBM DS8000 DASD, IBM TS77xx and VTS is required
