Job Purpose and Impact

The Business Implementation Team at Cargill Metals Business Unit enables a strong Ferrous Trading System by connecting different parts of the business to work together efficiently and effectively.

We collaborate with various cross-function teams to capture market opportunities timely through project initiatives and leverage process improvements, technology and tools to streamline front-to-back activities. The team manages the business’ data, extracting valuable information and insights to mitigate risks and drive profitability for the business unit.

This 12-18 months program will fast-track the Business Implementation talent who is keen to hone his/her business acumen whilst building expertise in the areas of Data, Technology and AI. It will entail rotation and mentorship in various aspects of data management and analysis, process improvement, tool implementation, and project management. This position is designed to provide a well-rounded foundation and understanding of the Metals business and sets you on a path towards a successful career in these fields.

Key Accountabilities

Process Implementation:

• Map out the existing end-to-end processes, identify areas with inefficiencies and bottlenecks, propose solutions through process change or improvement
• Assist in conducting workshops with stakeholders to understand pain points
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and measure their effectiveness.

Data Management and Analysis:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and formulate data use cases that brings value: can be monetized, reduces risks or improves efficiencies
• Assist in data collection, cleansing, analysis and visualization activities; automating it to provide insights for decision-making.
• Support the development and implementation of Master Data governance frameworks.
• Monitor key dashboards for data quality issues; follow-up with data curators/source to ensure data integrity.

Tech/Tools Implementation:

• Support the implementation of new technologies and tools to fit business needs
• Provide training and support to end-users on new in-house built tools.
• Assist in ensuring operational stability of trading systems

Project Management:

• Support project initiatives and assist in facilitating meetings to align stakeholders on scope, gaps, objectives, timelines
• Assist in tracking project progress, prepare progress reports
• Assist project lead in working with stakeholders to identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Early career professionals with no more than 2 years' work experience in commodities, international trade management, supply chain management are welcome to apply.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Technical ability to code simple automation scripts in Python, R or VBA / query for data using SQL.
• Proficiency in using data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools.
• High level of motivation, adaptability, and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic work environment.
