The Role

The role is responsible for managing Virtual IT Infrastructure, systems support, applications and telecommunications for Singapore office. It entails working cohesively with various team members or system owners to provide technical support, deliver BAU and projects within the agreed SLA. He/she will mainly cover infrastructure BAU activities in Singapore office and regional branches support.

This position requires working on weekends (as and when needed) as system changes can only be carried out on weekends. This is to avoid disruption to our day-to-day operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for administration, configuration, maintenance, monitoring and overall support of multiple VMware systems.

• Maintain and restore VMware backups and snapshots.

• Support VMware Horizon (VDI), vROPs, Win10 imaging and optimization, Dell Wyse Thin Clients and WDM, AD-GPO, Windows Server 2012\2016\2019, PowerShell Scripts and vSphere ESXi/vCenter.

• Monitor systems capacity and security of Windows

• Support, contribute and implement company IT security policies

• Audit and review of IT Security policies

• Review and recommend options to improve the effectiveness of virtual infrastructure

• Establish and maintain best practices, process and procedures for the operations of the business

• Provide automated solutions using powershell in Microsoft or VMware environment.

• Support Windows/VMWare infrastructure in an enterprise Active Directory Environment

• Resolve and conduct RCA of system outage or failure.

• Review and recommend options to improve the effectiveness of Virtual infrastructure.

• Establish and maintain best practices, process and procedures for the operations of the business.

• Manage configuration, installation and release management.

• Conduct system performance monitoring and testing.

• Manage and produce documentation and change control.

• Ensure delivery of objectives and goals, timely preparation and delivery of appropriate incident reports

• Provide support to resolve all VMware Vulnerabilities within the SLA

• Keep ESX/virtual infrastructure inventory up to date

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent with min. 5 years of working experience in Wintel /VM in the financial/banking industry

• VCP Certified

• Vsphere 6.5 and above, experience in VDI Horizon 7/8

• Competent in Windows Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, Windows 2012, Windows 2016, Windows 2019

• Experience of 2nd / 3rd level support for VDI /VSI environment. Technically strong on VMware VDI / VSI, vSphere, Thin Client Management, vRealize Operation Manager and good understanding on Nutanix solution, DHCP, DNS, AD, GPO

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Cluster / SQL Cluster AOAG (VM)

• Available to work on weekends due to changes made on systems can only be done on weekends to avoid disruption to day to day operations

• Products to support: VMware Horizon (VDI), vROPs, Win10 imaging and optimization, Dell Wyse Thin Clients and WDM, AD-GPO, Windows Server 2012\2016\2019, PowerShell Scripts, vSphere ESXi/vCenter

• Review and recommend options to improve the effectiveness of Virtual infrastructure

• Establish and maintain best practices, process and procedures for the operations of the business

• A team player who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
