Roles & Responsibilities

Carry out oil movement operations in the Terminal Operations section which includes vessel berthing, ship / shore conferencing, shore tanks gauging, shore system line-up, marine loading arm operations, running pumps & equipment; ensure proper filing and upkeep of all operational documents; ensures that operations are always carried out with due attention and assurance to system, quality and quantity integrity; ensures Safety is always adhered to; works with the guidance of the Technician A (Loading Master), also to carry out any other work as assigned by the Shift Leader.

Your role:

1. Oil movement operations (Loading, Discharge, Tank Transfers):

• vessel berthing & unberthing operations
• ship/shore conferencing, MLA connection & disconnection
• line setting, tank gauging and tank sampling
• monitoring of running pumps and equipment
• work with Technician A at Tank-farm and Jetty and as assigned by the Shift Leader
• documentation with due observance & compliance to safety & standard operations procedures

2. Operational, Quality, Safety & Security:

• routine check on terminal facilities to be in good running condition
• to report any problems to faulty equipment or any abnormalities
• Safety on operational areas at the jetty

3. Effective ship-shore interface

• carry out effective ship shore interface & communicate to vessel via radio-set
• acts as check to tasks executed by Jetty person-in-charge
• checks that all emergency equipment at jetty is in good condition and are available

Your Profile:

• Nitec in Engineering related discipline with minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in marine related industry

• Good understanding of Safety, Health & Security

• Able to work at heights, not afraid of sea, able to carry out simple mathematical calculations

• Ability to swim. Will need to attend and pass swimming certification course

• Good analytical skills and numerical literacy.

• Willingness to learn, able to communicate effectively via use radiosets, confidence to communicate to PSA Harbour Pilots during vessel berthing & unberthing.

• Good teamwork ethics

• Able to perform 12 hours shift
