We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Business Finance and Asset, Liability & Capital Management Manager.

Principal Responsibilities

Business finance

  • Under the new IFRS17 accounting standard, this role is responsible for Insurance Management Information across Manufacturing and Distribution activities, including performance analysis, forecasting and annual planning, with accurate and timely delivery to support key business decision-making forums
  • Provide high quality insight and analysis over results, including benchmarked in the context of peers’ performance
  • Business partnering with SG business teams to challenge and enhance commercial insight by blending business knowledge with interpretation of financial performance
  • Also working closely with local Financial Control, actuarial and business teams, and the Central teams
  • Drive MI process enhancement including strengthening MI and cost control process
  • Support adhoc requests

ALCM Initiatives

  • Identify and help manage Capital, Liquidity, Market Risks
  • Act as the secretary of the ALCO which is chaired by the CFO
  • Implementation of a strong ALCM governance
  • Close partnership with the Actuarial, Risk and the Balance Sheet optimisation functions will be critical in this role
  • Strong engagement is also required with Bank capital, finance, risk and regulatory teams, managing the Insurance business impact on banking

Qualifications

  • Actuarial, finance and ALCM discipline and IFRS17 accounting knowledge is required, with a number of years of work experience in the Life Insurance industry preferred
  • Strong numeracy background with an ability to take on new financial/technical concepts
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality analysis and recommend solutions
  • Commercial bent of find to ensure delivery of maximum Shareholders returns
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) and can work collaboratively with others, including with international and virtual teams
  • Track record of proactiveness, ability to learn, manage changes and deliver results within the tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in the use of Office software, including ability to deliver impactful written reports and PowerPoint presentations, some Qliksense knowledge preferred
  • Frequent exposure to senior Finance and business stakeholders
