Quality Engineer

Working Location: Jurong

Working Days: Monday - Friday

Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:15pm

Salary range: SGD 3,200 to SGD 4,200 monthly, 13th month, SGD 250 transport allowance

Basic Functions

Responsible to provide management and technical support to product quality. This includes review and improves work processes and systems, participate in quality audits and work with manufacturing plants on qualities and operational matters. This role also requires providing guidance to the QA technician on daily inspection.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Ensures operational process operating and meeting process/ product requirement/ specification.
2. Performs Finish Good Audit on products with reference to engineering drawings
3. Performs dimensional, functional or other tests using specified measuring and test equipment.
4. Files and maintains inspection records
5. Reviews incoming quality inspection metrology including first article inspection and prepares a plan to minimize inspections.
6. Verifies and ensures closure of all suppliers’ issues including corrective and preventive actions
7. Manages customer feedback and enhance customer satisfaction through collaborating with cross-functional team. Develop and enhance process control system to drive continuous improvement on product quality.
8. Maintains all the documentations are updated and comply with ISO 9001: 2015 standards.
9. Participates in quality improvement programs.
10. Responsible for calibrations of inspection and production tooling and equipment.
11. Leads in ISO 9001: 2015 (internal and external) and Supplier audits.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Diploma in Quality/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience in a similar position.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 Quality System.
• Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment including calipers, micrometer, torque tester and other mechanical equipment.

Supervisory Relationships

• Reports to Manager – Quality Assurance

Organization Relationships

• Frequent contact with Engineering to understand the product requirements
• Frequent contact with production on daily process quality maintenance
• Frequent contact with procurement on corrective actions to supplier.

External Business Relationships:

• Contact with supplier pertaining to quality concern on products

6/12 Months Targets

• Familiar with the ISO9001, KQMS Tier 1.
• Familiar with SAP, windchill system process for daily work.
• Lead the quality assurance technicians on daily work
• Maintain quality assurance related data-base and generate monthly report for global reporting.
• Execute corrective action process.
