TheRole:

 

Plan,direct, or coordinate advertising policies and programs or producecollateral materials, such as posters, contests, coupons, orgive-aways, to create extra interest in the purchase of a productor service for a department, an entire organization, or on anaccountbasis.

 

JobResponsibilities:

 

  • Inspectlayouts and advertising copy and edit scripts, audio and videotapes, and other promotional material for adherence tospecifications.
  • Plan and prepare advertisingand promotional material to increase sales of products or services,working with customers, company officials, sales departments, andadvertising agencies.
  • Gather and organizeinformation to plan advertisingcampaigns.
  • Confer with clients to providemarketing or technical advice.
  • Direct,motivate, and monitor the mobilization of a campaign team toadvance campaign goals.
  • Confer with departmentheads or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection ofadvertising media, or product to beadvertised.
  • Prepare budgets and submitestimates for program costs as part of campaign plandevelopment.
  • Prepare and negotiate advertisingand sales contracts.
  • Plan and executeadvertising policies and strategies fororganizations.
  • Assist with annual budgetdevelopment.
  • Provide presentation and productdemonstration support during the introduction of new products andservices to field staff andcustomers.
  • Formulate plans to extend businesswith established accounts and to transact business as agent foradvertising accounts.
  • Direct and coordinateproduct research and development.
  • Identify anddevelop contacts for promotional campaigns and industry programsthat meet identified buyer targets, such as dealers, distributors,or consumers.
  • Represent company at tradeassociation meetings to promote products.
  • Readtrade journals and professional literature to stay informed ontrends, innovations, and changes that affect mediaplanning.
  • Consult publications to learn aboutconventions and social functions and to organize prospect files forpromotional purposes.
  • Coordinate activities ofdepartments, such as sales, graphic arts, media, finance, andresearch.
  • Train and direct workers engaged indeveloping and producing advertisements.
  • Trackprogram budgets and expenses and campaign response rates toevaluate each campaign based on program objectives and industrynorms.
  • Monitor and analyze sales promotionresults to determine cost effectiveness of promotioncampaigns.
  • Coordinate with the media todisseminate advertising.
  • Contact organizationsto explain services and facilitiesoffered.
  • Manage sales team including settinggoals, providing incentives, and evaluating employeeperformance.
  • Assemble and communicate with astrong, diverse coalition of organizations or public figures,securing their cooperation, support and action, to further campaigngoals.

JobRequirements:

 

  • Diploma/ Degree in Sales & Marketing
  • At least 5years of experience in advertising &promotion
  • Knowledge of the structure andcontent of the English language including the meaning and spellingof words, rules of composition, andgrammar.
  • Knowledge of media production,communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. Thisincludes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written,oral, and visual media.
  • Knowledge of principlesand methods for showing, promoting, and selling of concert tickets.This includes marketing strategy and tactics, productdemonstration, sales techniques, and sales controlsystems. 
  • Experience managing multiplelive performance projects.
  • Organized anddetail-oriented
  • Excellent communicator inprofessional and business settings
  • Able tohandle task management in a high-stressenvironment
  • Tight Profit and Loss Management onFinancial file to ensure all costs are accurate and accountedfor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Words,Excel, Powerpoint)

Excellent problemsolving and time managementskills
