Roles & Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

This hire will be joining a fast-paced institutional sales and business development team and expected to contribute directly to the business through AUM and revenue growth.


This is a role that requires the individual to drive a broad range of institutional activities across multiple jurisdictions hence it is very important for the candidate to be organised and methodical in his/her approach.

The key responsibilities include the following, among others:-


  • Develop and drive institutional sales strategy and business plan for Singapore, Brunei and Philippines.
  • Opportunistic coverage of Australia and other markets not supported by Local Business Units
  • Cross sell and present appropriate solutions to existing clients
  • Work with Marketing closely to build up Eastspring’s profile as an Institutional Quality fund house in assigned markets
  • Drive investment consultant relationships in assigned markets


EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate should have a minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience in institutional sales in the fund management industry or a similar role.


Proven track record of asset raising in the following areas will be advantageous:

  • local and/or regional strategies (long only, fixed income/equities)
  • active systematic equities
  • Singapore, Brunei, Philippine (and Australia)


He/she should have extensive knowledge and experience in the fund management industry to be able to develop and execute a strategy unique to Eastspring’s capabilities as well as markets covered.


He/she should be a self-starter who is achievement and goal oriented. Furthermore, he/she should possess a high level of professionalism and personal integrity.


The ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and create trust with clients is essential.


The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and enjoy interacting with other people.


Multiple language skills, primarily Mandarin and other regional languages will be desired.
