The Role

• Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement regional information security strategies aligned with the organization's overall security goals and objectives.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess security risks specific to the region, including threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements.
• Policy and Procedure Management: Develop, review, and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures tailored to the regional context.
• Security Awareness and Training: Promote security awareness and provide training to employees and stakeholders in the region to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan specific to the region, including procedures for handling security incidents and breaches.
• Security Monitoring: Oversee the implementation of security monitoring tools and practices to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
• Compliance: Ensure that the organization adheres to regional and international regulatory requirements and industry standards related to information security.
• Security Audits and Assessments: Coordinate and participate in security audits, assessments, and penetration testing activities within the region.
• Vendor and Third-Party Risk Management: Evaluate and manage the security risks associated with third-party vendors and partners operating in the region.
• Security Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with emerging security technologies and trends and assess their relevance and potential implementation in the regional context.
• Security Incident Reporting: Report security incidents and breaches to the appropriate authorities and stakeholders as required by law or organizational policy.
• Security Governance: Collaborate with the organization's central information security office and other regional security officers to ensure a consistent and cohesive security governance framework.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are highly desirable.
• Several years of experience in information security, with a focus on security strategy, risk management, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of regional and international information security laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with regional teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and mitigate security risks.
• Project management skills to oversee security initiatives within the region.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and SIEM solutions.
