Job Description
- Perform server administration tasks to support web and application hosting
- Perform network administration tasks to support RI and RI boarding network access
- Be the point of contact in providing technical support for staff and students
- Perform troubleshooting to end-user desktops, laptops, student iPads, network and server systems
- Facilitate software installation, patching on end user systems, servers and network infrastructure
- Provide new user onboarding IT accounts, access, computing devices and tools
- Maintain asset management, IT supplies, IT disposal and data sanitising functions
- Provide guidance to teachers on the usage and troubleshooting of software and applications
- Coordinate and engage external vendors for IT related requirements, projects and support functions
- Procure IT resources and supplies
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the school
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in a relevant discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build appropriate professional yet friendly working relationships with staff, students, and other stakeholders
- Able to find solutions to problems with some degree of flexibility in the approach whenever possible and investigate enquiries and respond in a timely manner
- Good written, verbal communication and listening skills
- Possess analytical, logical thinking and problem solving skills
- Good technical knowledge of PC, desktop, laptop and Apple iPad specifications
- Working technical knowledge of operating systems and key applications such as Microsoft and Adobe applications
- Adequate knowledge and experience to support and manage virtualised server environment, and application hosting
- Adequate knowledge and experience to support and manage network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
- Able to operate tools, components and peripheral accessories
- Able to operate and communicate effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical team members
- Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
- Able to operate within standard operating procedures
- This is a 2-year contract (renewable)
